Jamshedpur, June 13: Police on Tuesday registered case against five people who have been allegedly accused in the murder of Varun Gope, driver of BJP leader Bobby Singh. On the statement of Parshuram Gope, brother of the decased the police filed the case.
Name of Shankar Gope is doing rounds and he has been accused of plotting the muder. Adityapur Police Station incharge Vijay Kumar Singh said, Varun Gope was sitting in the ruins building of Swarnrekha project when six people in two motorcycles arrived at the spot and thrashed him with a stick and then shot him. Police raided several places including a company trying to nab the culprits but failed in its attempt.
Police have arrested three people and are interrogating while Shankar Gope, Pankaj Majhi, Pramod Dulai, Suraj Gope, Aakash Gope have been named accused in the murder case.
Police is thinking it as a rivalry. Krishna Gope group and Deepak Munda group is up in arms ever since the testimony in Deepak Munda murder case and and Ganesh Chouhan murder case on December 31, 2015.
