Carmel Junior College students crowned winners of Horlicks Wizkids

Jamshedpur : City played host to Horlicks Wizkids, an inter-school talent contest here on Thursday.

The Horlicks Wizkids saw participation of about 4250 students from 46 schools. It was the 12th edition of the quiz contest organised at the Tata Auditorium.

The Jamshedpur finals culminated with Ayushi Ghosh, of Carmel Junior College and Aadya Vaisa, of the same school emerging as the winners who will represent their city at the Horlicks Wizkids South Asia Finals in November.

The winners of Horlicks Wizkids South Asia 2014 winners will earn scholarships worth Rs 1,00,000 and a five-day educational trip to Spain. Along with the popular on-ground city finals, Horlicks introduces eWizkids- a unique online participation procedure which takes the contest to 29 cities this year.

After the preliminary round for the Wizkids students participated in five rounds which comprised of personal interview, talent round, versatility round and question round.

The Horlicks Wizkids is one of the most sought after student engagement experience bringing all the students from various schools of a city under one roof, thus enhancing their social interaction and cooperation skills as well.

The other events which were organised were band competition, painting, group dance, cooking, photography, essay writing. Hundreds of students participated amidst enthusiasm.
