Career Expo 2022 begins at Gulmohur High School

Jamshedpur, Nov 18: A two day career awareness programme ‘Career Expo’ started off at Gulmohur High School, Telco, on Friday. It was jointly inaugurated by Tata Steel Vice President Chanakya Choudhary and Tata Motors Jamshedpur Plant Head Ravindra Kulkarni.

In his address, Chanakya Choudhary, present as the chief guest, said many youths were deprived of opportunities in want of information. He said the Career Expo was crucial for youths as it would help them make career decisions in time. He further added that Tata Steel Foundation keeps organizing such programmes for youths to help them in their career.

The school Principal Preeti Sinha said the purpose of the event was to inform students of class 10, 11 and 12 about new career opportunities in various fields. She said experts from 25 different universities would inform children about traditional career options as well as tell them about new opportunities. Around 5000 children from various schools situated in and around the city are participating in the event, she said.

Earlier, a cultural programme was presented by the students. It was followed by a panel discussion on new career opportunities by experts of different subjects.
