Jamshedpur: One person was killed in road mishap at Northern Town area. An uncontrolled car hit a cyclist and latter damaged the main gate of GST Commissioner M Rahman’s residence. Incidentally there was no security personnel there. People took the injured cyclist to Tata Main Hospital where doctors declared him dead.
The deceased was identified as Sunil Kumar Thakur, a resident of Adityapur Road No. 13. Police seized the car and detained the driver. Witnesses said that the car was at a high speed. The car got punctured, causing the car to go uncontrolled. The car crashed into the gate of the commissioner’s residence while pushing the cyclist. The front divider of the housing was also damaged. Sunil Kumar Thakur was returning from Sakchi on his bicycle to Bishtupur Tata Steel’s General Office.
