Capitalists exploiting workers in Adityapur industrial area: Former MLA Arvind Singh

Jamshedpur, November 5: Former MLA cum convenor of Adityapur Mazdoor Union, Arvind Singh said that now the arbitrary will of corrupt entrepreneurs and capitalists will not be allowed to continue.

He claimed that around 20 lakh contract laborers are being exploited in the industrial sector.

“They have been waiting for minimum wages for years. Together we will expose the faces of those entrepreneurs who became rich from poor by exploiting laborers and contractors,’ said Singh.

On Sunday, while addressing a program organized at Shehnai Bhawan under the banner of Adityapur Mazdoor Union on the problems of workers and contractors, former MLA Singh lashed out at JMT, RKFL, Adhunik, Tayo and others among the major companies of this region.

He said that the workers of JMT and Tayo, who have become victims of the dictatorship and exploitative mentality of the management.  He alleged that JMT Company was acquired by RK Forging Ltd. on the decision of NCLT. By giving its decision in a very short time and amount, NCLT deprived the workers of their rights and entitlements.

He informed that a delegation will soon meet the Chief Minister regarding this issue and apprise him about the entire matter.

“If the workers and contractors do not get justice then they will go to the Supreme Court. A large scale organization will be formed with the workers of the unorganized sector. Workers of all small and big companies will be included in it,” said Singh.

Labour leader SN Singh said that today the owners are closing their companies and moving to other states so that they do not have to pay settlements to the workers here. Usha Martin has become a Tata Long Product today, but their workers did not get justice.

 He called upon them to unite and fight for their rights and entitlements.
