Chaibasa, Oct. 26: It seems that the ensuing three-tier panchayet election fever has gripped the political circles and villagers of the West SInghbhum district as a total of 48 nomination papers were sold for panchyat samity members and two panchayet samity Members have also filed their nomination at Manjhari Block under the Chaibasa Sadra subdivision on Monday.
Those who have filed their papers for the panchayat samity are Shivram Manjhi and Chandrabhusan Birua from Manjhari Block.
As many as 20 nomination papers were also sold for the Zilla Parishad members on Monday. The nomination papers for Zilla Parishad members were issued to the candidates by DDC Anil Kr Roy. Sadar Chaibasa SDO Rakesh Kumar Dubey said that filing of nominations will continue till October 30.
