Cancer patients to receive financial aid during Round Table Week

Jamshedpur: Jamshedpur Yodhayein Round Table India 338 (JYRT 338) as part of the Round Table Week celebration has lined up several activities in the city. The chapter will distribute masks and carry several philanthropic activities. The chapter has decided to lend financial help to the cancer patients.

Tanay Jhanwar, chairman said that the week is celebrated across the country by all the chapters with an aim to spread awareness on education and social service activities for all who can be reached. This year it is scheduled between 22-28 November 2020.
The Jamshedpur chapter has come together to plan various activities in this week, which include, COVID Relief, financial aid for cancer patients amongst many other. 
Round Table India, is an organisation of non-political and non-sectarian young men between the age group of 18 and 40, promoting service, fellowship and goodwill in national and international affairs. Working towards the education of underprivileged children, till date, 7141 classrooms have been built across India in 3041 schools, impacting over 78 lakhs children.
Jamshedpur Yodhayein Round Table India 338 (JYRT 338) had also donated 300 liters of sanitiser and 5000 masks to the senior superintendent of police. This was the first CSR carried out by the youths for the year 20-21.
Taranpreet Singh, vice chairman, said that they are doing this to raise awareness as a part of the social duty. He said that during the week they will distribute masks as it is a foremost measure to safeguard against the infection and hence they have distributed masks.
City youths launched Jamshedpur Yodhayein Round Table 338, Round Table of India’s newest chapter in 2019.   While Round Table of India focuses on cultivating the highest ideals in business, professional and civic traditions, the Tablers promote education of the underprivileged and develop projects that uplift society at large.
