Ranchi, April 26: Jharkhand government on Tuesday increased the dearness allowance of its employees by six per cent.
The decision, which was taken at the cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Raghubar Das, would be applied retrospectively from January 1 this year. After the meeting Cabinet Secretariat and Coordination department principal secretary, Surendra Singh Meena said that the dearness allowance of state government employees has been increased from 119 per cent to 125 per cent.
The cabinet also approved introducing Centre’s ‘Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yozana’ in the state. The cabinet approved Rs 60 crore as premium for the Fasal Bima Yojana.
It also gave nod to setting up dialysis centres through public private partnership in Bokaro, Chaibasa, Dhanbad, Dumka, Gumla, Hazaribagh, Jamshedpur and Palamau districts.
At the meeting it was also decided that commercial Courts will be set up in Ranchi, Dhanbad and Jamshedpur. Three posts for Presiding Officer along with 21 gazette officers’ posts will be created.
