Jamshedpur : Jharkhand Pradesh Mahila Congress Committee leader Usha Singh has welcomes the Jharkhand government’s decision to restore its earlier decision to give rights to the panchayats over sand mining, weeks after it allowed the minor mineral to go under the hammer.
The decision was taken by the Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Hemant Soren.
Usha Singh said in a press release today said that Sukhdev Bhagat Congress chief had adopted straightforward approach in this regard and this was the result Congress party had made it clear that the panchayats are ones who have got all rights on sand mining in the state.
The party will not compromise on the issue of sand mining with the JMM. She said that the decision to restore the rights will help the people at large.
