Jamshedpur: Jamshedpur East MLA Raghuvar Das today said that water and electricity will soon be supplied to the various bustees of the city by Jusco. He said earlier the company management had refused to provide water and electricity to the people citing an order of the High Court.
Das, speaking to scribes at his Agrico residence on Sunday, said he had held talks with Tata Steel managing director TV Narendran in this regard. I was told by TV Narendran that if an order is issued by the state government, the process of supplying water and electricity may be started, he said.
The BJP legislator said he had requested the Secretary of Urban Development Department to seek governments order to Tata Steel asking the company to provide water and electricity amenities to the bustee residents.
I sincerely hope the water and electricity supply to the bustees will soon be started soon after the order is issued by the government, said Das.
The legislator said the survey for water supply under the Moharda water supply project in the left out areas will start tomorrow. IPE Global Private Limited will conduct the survey. The pipeline for the water supply project will soon be laid down, he said.
The company will send a detailed project report to the government department which will release funds for starting the project. A treatment plant will also be constructed for this project, Das said.
Das said various development projects worth Rs 2.8 crore will soon be started. Community buildings, drains and roads will be constructed before rains, he said.
Speaking on the political situation in the state, the BJP legislator said the Hemant Soren government will collapse under its own weight. He said the BJP was not going to take the initiative either to topple the government or form a new one.
The aim of BJP is to provide an elected government to the state. There is no moral ground for the state government to continue in power. We will keep vigil on the government till it collapses, said Das.
