Jamshedpur : In a major development the district police today arrested a 24-year-old youth who had kidnapped a three-year-old child from near his house for demanding ransom from the victim’s father.
The youth was identified as Deepak Kumar Mishra, a resident of Burmamines. The abduction victim was identified as Adityapur�s Kumar Jha, son of Sanjay Kumar Jha, a resident of Long Tom Bustee.
Senior superintendent of police Amol V Homkar said that the victim was playing with his friends in front of his house on Monday afternoon when the youth kidnapped him and took along to the Sitaramdera.
A special team comprised of five six police officials and sent it toward Dhanbad as the all had received from a location in Dhanbad, suggesting that the kidnapper had boarded a bus bound to Bhagalpur.
According to the senior police officer, during the search operation, the police found a three-year-old child in possession of a 24-year-old youth who was later identified as Deepak Kumar Mishra, also a resident of Long Tom Bustee, Burmamines.
The police have also recovered a cell-phone having double SIM card from the possession of the accused beside the child.
