Jamshedpur: A major theft was reported at Maa Pahari Apartment in Parsudih under the Parsudih police station area. Thieves broke into the fourth-floor flat owned by Suman Mandal and stole cash and gold jewellery worth several lakhs.
The incident took place while the family was away in Bokaro for about 10-15 days. Upon returning on Wednesday morning, they discovered that the main door lock was broken, and the valuables were missing. The family immediately informed the police, who reached the spot and launched an investigation.
Police are inspecting the crime scene and reviewing CCTV footage from the apartment premises to identify the culprits. The estimated loss is believed to be in lakhs of rupees.
