Bullying must be strictly dealt with: Dr. Shrikant Nair to teachers at Disha Meet

Jamshedpur : The Campus was buzzing with hallo and hi! More than 200 teachers from various Citybased Schools of Jamshedpur assembled to share their knowledge, experience and expertise.

It was their very own DISHA MEET, for which they keep on waiting. The venue was Kerala Samajam Auditorium, the organizer was Kerala Public School. Ms. Sreekala Karunakaran, Principal, KPS, Burmamines took the initiative and invited Ms. Amy Billimoria, Principal, Tarapore School, Agrico for conducting two sessions on Professionalism and Lesson Planning.

Presenting extract from the Boook Professional, by the author Subrato Bagchi, Ms. Billimoria pointed out very beautifully and eloquently various elements required for being professional. Only aptitude does not lead any one far in today’s professional world, be it in business or in education.

In the second session, she elaborated the innovative ways adopted in their School of making Lesson Plan.

The Teachers were really enriched by the technical points given by Ms. Billimoria. Ms. Nandini Shukla,
Principal Kerala Samajam Model School expressed concern over increasing bullying in the School and
invited suggestions from others.

Dr. Shrikant NairDirector, KPS was of the opinion that bullying must be strictly dealt with as it has the tendency to contaminate others.

But at the same time, he stressed that teachers should be fare enough for all students while punishing.

The dignitaries present were Ms. Shanta Vaidyanathan, Asstt. Director, KPS, Ms. Alka Sinha and Ms. Rashmi Sinha, Principal of KPS Mango and KPS Gamharia respectively. Ms. Sharmila Mukherjee, Principal Kadma and Vice Principals Gurmeet Kaur and Harmit.

The School Teachers from KSMS, all KPS, AIWC, DBMS, JH Tarapore, MNPS, DAV Patelnagar etc. attended.

The meeting ended with vote of thanks by Barnali Chatterjee, KPS Burmamines.
