Jamshedpur, Feb. 1: Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) President Suresh Sonthalia said that the union budget announced on Wednesday provides a relief to the MSME sector.

The announcement made by finance minister Arun Jaitley to reduce the income tax for smaller companies with annual turnover up to Rs 50 crore to 25 per cent, is a welcome step and will benefit small entrepreneurs in the country.

Union Budget 2017 has recognised the benefits of demonetisation and passed them on to the people of India. The budget has given benefits to every section of the society, Sonthalia said.

‘It has given benefits to the poor and marginalised sections of the society to the middle class to the farmers, women and youth.

Allocations have been increased for affordable housing, infrastructure, rural development’, said Sonthalia, adding, ‘I think this is a budget that will satisfy the demand of every section of society.

To give a growth-oriented budget without burdening people with taxes but giving relief to large sections of society and thrust to infrastructure spending is truly a fantastic job.

The announcement of AIIMS in Jharkhand is a welcome step and would improve the health care sector of the state, added Sonthalia.
