Jamshedpur, July 23: Arun Prakash, Convenor of CII Jharkhand Economic Affairs, Finance & Taxation Panel, has praised the government’s budget for its growth-focused approach. He highlighted the planned fiscal deficit reduction from 5.1% to 4.9%, with a 4.5% target, as a sign of commitment to economic growth.
Prakash commended the focus on MSMEs, noting the extension of Mudra loan limits to Rs 20 lakh and the new scheme facilitating collateral-free term loans up to Rs 100 crore for machinery purchases. He also welcomed the Rs 11 lakh crore allocation for infrastructure projects.
The CII official appreciated tax proposals, including the Customs Act review and the introduction of an amnesty scheme in direct taxes. He noted that changes in personal income tax, including enhanced standard deduction, would provide relief to citizens.
Prakash concluded that the budget reinforces confidence in the government’s commitment to economic growth, technological innovation, and sustainable development.
