Jamshedpur, July 5: Jharkhand state Congress president Ajoy Kumar termed the Union Budget 2019 as a �bogus budget�. He said the budget had nothing new and that it was replete with the same old promises made by the Central government. He said the government had failed to keep its promises.
�There is a conspiracy to make the country a slave through disinvestment in the name of New India. There is nothing new in the budget. There is no plan for employment generation. No initiative has been taken. In short, the budget is full of �jumlas�,� he said.
Kumar said the increment of Rs 1 in Excise duty would lead to sharp hike in budget. This would further increase the burden on the common man�s pocket. The budget is pro-Capitalist and in favour of private sector and it would only further complicate issues like poverty and unemployment, he said.
Kumar said the budget should have included a blueprint for job creation which was missing in the Finance Minister�s speech.
