Jamshedpur, May 9: Chief Minister Hemant Soren must be lauded for taking positive initiatives and bringing back stranded Jharkhand citizens from other states with mutual understanding with his counterparts. A whole lot were brought back from Vellore yesterday. This is one of his many efforts that calls for appreciation.
The Jharkhand government has also ensured the return of students from Kota and other places. It is time that the Hemant Soren government now turns its attention to Pune. Many students from Jharkhand are pursuing their higher education in that city where multiple disciplines in career pursuits are on offer. Naturally, many parents prefer their children to go in for higher education at Pune. In fact, the number of students in this alternate Mecca of learning has been growing unabated and this fraternity is expansive with the feel of a mini Jharkhand community.
But parents are a worried lot in Jharkhand now as Maharshtra is in drastic grips of COVID–19. These parents in Jharkhand are desperate for the safety of their children and want them back until safer times. Their hopes have been cautiously pepped up with students from Kota in Rajasthan returning to their home state. They are of the unanimous hope-driven view that Hemant Soren gets in touch with his Maharashtra counterpart and arranges for the safe passage of the students of Jharkhand in Pune to return home during these pandemic times.
