Jamshedpur DC, SSP inspect interstate border checkposts

New checkpost to come up near Dhalbhumgarh PS

Baharagora, May 9: East Singhbhum Deputy Commissioner Ravi Shankar Shukla and SSP M Tamil Vanam and other senior officials today inspected the Jharkhand-Bengal border checkpost at Darishole and the Jharkhand-Odisha border at Jamshola. They also inspected the Darishole Guest House in the process. Both checkposts are in the Baharagora Block area. These were carried out as a part of the interstate and inter district checkpost inspections.

The Magistrate and police personnel were directed to conduct detailed and minute inspection to keep tags on movement through these checkposts. Due to prevailing coronavirus conditions they were also instructed to ensure personal protection while carrying out such checking of vehicles. The senior officials instructed the Dhalbhumgarh BDO Shalini Khalkho about setting up of a checkpost near the Dhalbhumgarh police station.

DC Ravi Shankar Shukla said that the district administration was prepared for containing the coronavirus infection and the setup was alert to all emergency conditions.

SSP M Tamil Vanam stated that the Magistrates and police personnel posted at the checkpoints were keeping watch 24×7 and keeping note of all movements. Among officials present during the inspections were Ghatshila SDO Amar Kumar, Baharagora BDO Rajesh Kumar Sahu, CO Hira Kumar, Dhalbhumgarh BDO Shalini Khalkho, Ghatshila SDPO and other senior officials.
