Jamshedpur, Aug. 5: Observing 5th day of Breastfeeding Week, Inner Wheel Club Jamshedpur organised a healthy talk on mother’s milk or breastfeeding in Birsa Basti, Sonari. Dr. Renuka Choudhry was the resource person who informed the ladies about breastfeeding and said that it helps in reducing cancer risk in mothers.
She also talked about the medical problems during pregnancy and the benefits of breastfeeding during that period. Around 30 ladies of the slum benefitted from the programme. Dr. Choudhry also answered the questions raised by the ladies.
The club members thanked Dr. Renuka Choudhry for taking out her precious time for this noble cause. Members present on the occasion were Vice President Mamta Trehan, Vinita Shah, Editor Manju Rani Singh, Committee members Sarika Singh, Archana Shekhar and Gurdeep Marwah, members Malti Singh and Neelakshi Jaiswal.
