Breakthrough in Sanjay Pahan Murder Case: 8 arrested, including wife and brother-in-law

Ranchi: In a significant development in the Sanjay Pahan murder case within the Sadar police station area of the capital Ranchi, the police have made substantial progress by apprehending 8 individuals, including the victim’s wife and brother-in-law. The arrests were part of a broader crackdown following the discovery of Sanjay Pahan’s lifeless body at his residence in Booti Basti.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Salo Devi, Ashish Nepali, Manvel Khalkho, Kamru Nag, Suraj Kumar Thakur, Azhar Ansari, Dhaneshwar Bhagat, and Dawood Ekka. During the operation, law enforcement recovered crucial evidence, including a country-made pistol, two live bullets, a hammer, and various other items from the suspects.
The murder, believed to have stemmed from a family dispute concerning Sanjay Pahan’s alleged involvement with another woman, led to a conspiracy involving family members, including his wife. The assailants executed the plot, resulting in Sanjay Pahan’s tragic demise through a gunshot. The police investigation exposed the family dynamics and unveiled the motive behind the murder.
Sanjay Pahan’s lifeless body, discovered in his courtyard on the night of November 30, bore signs of a sharp weapon attack before succumbing to a gunshot wound to the back. The police, suspecting the involvement of someone close to the victim, diligently pursued leads, including a call dump analysis of the incident area to identify active mobile phones on the night of the incident.
