Brass items stolen from Jamshedpur Hanuman Temple

Mail News Service

Jamshedpur: An unidentified thief broke into the Hanuman Temple in Birsanagar Zone 3 around 11 p.m. Tuesday and stole brass utensils used in worship, valued at approximately Rs 10,000. The incident was captured on CCTV footage.

Temple caretaker Rajendra Gorai said the theft occurred after a prayer event and the items were left outside. Police have begun examining the footage to identify the culprit. Locals allege that intoxicated youths often loiter in the area and may be behind the theft. They have demanded increased police patrolling and stricter enforcement.

This marks the second such incident in recent weeks, following a donation box theft from the same temple. No arrests have been made in either case, adding to public frustration.
