Jamshedpur: The summer camp organized at Universal Peace Palace, Sonari, under the aegis of Brahmakumaris came to a conclusion here on Wednesday.
A special programme was organized on the occasion to mark World No Tobacco Day 2017. The chief guest of the programme was social worker Ashok Agrawal and renowned mountaineer Premlata Agrawal. The guests were welcomed by Anju Bahan of Brahmakumaris. Dr Neelam Chandra from Jabalpur gave a Power Point presentation on the health hazards caused by tobacco and effective methods to quit its addiction.
Anju Bahan administered oath to quit tobacco to the participants of the summer camp and appealed to them to motivate others to do the same.
Those present were also asked to make their parents and other family members understand the hazards of tobacco and tobacco products and keep away from it.
The guests praised the efforts of the organizers and appealed to people to quit tobacco and embrace good health.
