Jamshedpur, Nov 16: A one day Book Fair was organized at the local RVS College of Engineering and Technology in which one dozen publishers opened up stalls with wide arrays of choices.
While inaugurating the Book Fair, the Secretary of RVS Educational Trust, Bharat Singh observed, “Book is the main medium of knowledge. Books have the biggest contribution in the development of knowledge power. I urge the students participating in this Fair to look at books as your friends. Knowledge is gained from books in every possible field of interest and these published material propels your aims and pursuits and they open your vistas of learning far and wide that electronic media cannot provide.”
The Director of the college, Dr RN Gupta stated, “Even in this era of internet, the importance of books remains at its place and even today high quality books are guiding our society.”
A large number of students and teachers participated in this Book Fair inaugural and purchased books of their choices. The Fair was coordinated by Dr SP Singh and Librarian Jaimala Sundi. The managing team comprised Dr Surya Bahadur, Dr Sudhir Jha, Dr Subroto Mahato, Dr Rekha Tiwari, Dr Dilip Haldar, Dr Rahi Das Kumar and Prof Puja Dutta.
