Bokaro Youth Arrested for Inflammatory Social Media Post Praising Pahalgam Terror Attack

Dhanbad, April 23: A 35-year-old man from Bokaro, identified as Kasim alias Naushad, was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly posting an objectionable and inflammatory message on social media in connection with the Pahalgam massacre, where 26 tourists were killed by terrorists.

According to Bokaro DSP and police spokesperson Alok Ranjan, Naushad, a resident of Millat Nagar under Balidih police station, uploaded a controversial post on Tuesday evening thanking Pakistan and the terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba. In the post, he reportedly wrote, “Thank you Pakistan. Thank you Lashkar-e-Taiba, may Allah bless you always. We will be more happy if RSS, BJP, Bajrang Dal and the media are targeted.”

The police acted promptly after BJP Ranchi MLA CP Singh informed Bokaro SP Manoj Swargiary about the post around 11 pm on Tuesday. A high-level police team raided Naushad’s residence early Wednesday around 6 am and took him into custody for interrogation.

Police revealed that the SIM card used by Naushad was registered in the name of his elder brother, who currently resides in Dubai. Authorities are also investigating Naushad’s previous social media activity.

An FIR has been registered against him at Sukhdeonagar police station in Ranchi. Further investigation is underway to ascertain any additional connections or motives behind the post.
