Jamshedpur, Feb 27: The body of an unidentified person was found on the railway line near Gadra, between Tatanagar and Salgajhuri stations, on Tuesday morning. The body was severed into two pieces. Local residents notified the Govindpur police about the finding.
Upon receiving the information, Govindpur police promptly reached the scene, took possession of the body, and sent it for post-mortem examination. The deceased was approximately 40 years old, and police have initiated efforts to identify the person with the help of nearby residents.
According to reports, the loco pilot of the Steel Express alerted the Salgajhuri East cabin about the discovery of the body on Tuesday morning. The body was found between Salgajhuri East and West cabins.
Prakash Kumar Rajan, the in-charge of the Govindpur police station, remarked that the positioning of the body suggested a possible suicide, with the head towards the railway line and the torso outside. Currently, the police are focused on establishing the identity of the deceased.
