Body floating in Dimna lake identified

Jamshedpur, May 15: The body of a person which was floating in Dimna Lake of Bodam police station area of Jamshedpur has been identified.

The dead body is of Mohammad Akhtar. His nephew Tufail, who was present with Mohammad Akhtar, took Mohammad Akhtar out of the lake and reached MGM Hospital to confirm his death, where doctors declared Akhtar dead. The relatives were not satisfied and took the body to TMH where the doctors declared Akhtar dead.

Akhtar was married. He also has a daughter. Akhtar used to do welding work in Qatar and had come home on leave. He is a resident of the Mohammedan line of Sakchi and had gone to take bathe in the lake with nephew Tufail on Monday. After having a drink, he jumped into the lake to take a bath and started drowning. Later he was pulled out with the help of the people around.
