Jamshedpur, Sept 21: Bank of Baroda (BoB) in its efforts to ensure self reliance among rural women, sanctioned Rs 9.18 crore loan amount against 153 applications from women’s Self-help Groups (SHGs) in Chakulia Block. The loans were sanctioned by BoB’s Jamshedpur Regional Office.
BoB Regional Office of Jamshedpur had organized a loan camp in Chakulia Block where Sanjeev Menon, the Bank’s General Manager and Circle Head of Patna Zone was the chief guest. The programme was presided by BoB DGM (Network – 1, Patna Zone) Dr Ramesh Kumar Mohanty. The special guest on the occasion was Padma Shri Jamuna Tudu who lauded BoB for its commitment to women’s empowerment by making them financially self reliant and urged the Bank’s management to provide loans to more women’s SHGs so that more rural women could climb up the rungs of the socio-economic ladder.
The program was moderated by Joyita Majumdar. RK Goyal, Regional Head, Bank of Baroda, Jamshedpur Region, and Chakulia Branch Manager Sunaram Soren, Jaydev Murmu, Subhash Senapati, Amarendra, Rafiq Alam, Vivek Prasad, Rahul and other BoB officials and employees were present at the Chakulia loan camp. The vote of thanks was proposed by Amit Kumar, BoB Deputy Regional Head of Jamshedpur Region.
