Chaibasa, July 22: On the occasion of the 116th anniversary of Bank of Baroda (BoB), the Regional Office of the bank in Jamshedpur organized a corporate social responsibility initiative on Saturday. As part of this initiative, a skill development workshop, KARUKRITI was inaugurated in collaboration with the non-governmental organization Kalamandir at the tribal institution in Chaibasa.
The main objective of this workshop was to establish and promote sustainable employment ventures with small businesses in villages for the benefit of tribal communities. “Bank of Baroda has fully sponsored various initiatives, efforts, tools and sheds for the skilled workers through this program. The branches of Bank of Baroda in Barajamda, Chaibasa, Chaibasa Mahulsai, Chakradharpur and Jagnnathpur played a significant role in the successful execution of this project,” informed an official. During the inaugural session, bank officials conducted a financial literacy session for local artisans. They provided detailed information about various loan schemes and facilities offered by Bank of Baroda through discussions and deliberations. Additionally, the bank representatives also informed of opportunities for rural individuals to connect with the bank and explore new directions for employment.
