Rajendra Vidyalaya Celebrates 55th Annual Sports Day with Enthusiasm
Students showcase talent, teamwork and athletic spirit at JRD Tata Sports Complex
Jamshedpur, Dec 12: Rajendra Vidyalaya celebrated its 55th Annual Sports Day with great excitement and energy at the JRD Tata Sports Complex. The campus buzzed with vibrant performances, athletic competitions and enthusiastic participation from students, teachers and parents.
The event was graced by Chief Guest Saurabh Tiwary, Secretary of the Jharkhand State Cricket Association, along with senior representatives of the Bihar Association — B.N. Choudhary (President) and C.P.N. Singh (General Secretary). Principal Anita Tiwari, Vice Principal Kiran Sinha, and Junior In-charge D. Vani welcomed the dignitaries warmly.
The ceremony began with the hoisting of the school flag by the Chief Guest, marking the official opening of the Sports Day. A well-coordinated march past by the four school houses set the tone for the day. Sports Secretary Sanskar Roy led the torch run, followed by the oath-taking ceremony, reaffirming the values of discipline and sportsmanship. Saurabh Tiwary then formally declared the meet open.

The event featured lively performances by students of all age groups. LKG students presented a delightful Jungle Theme Dance, which captivated the audience. Students of Grades 3 and 4 showcased an eye-catching drill display titled “Green Glow, United Show.” The middle school students (Grades 6 and 7) performed a creative and well-coordinated drill routine, while senior students (Grades 9 to 12) competed in various track and field events, displaying remarkable athletic skill.
A special highlight of the day was the alumni race and the cheerful tricycle race by UKG students, adding joy and nostalgia to the event.

During the prize distribution ceremony, the top athletes were honoured. Aditya Pandey was awarded Best Athlete (Junior Boy), Anvesha Kumari received Best Athlete (Junior Girl), Tizeel Tejash Bari won Best Athlete (Senior Boy), Anindita Roy was awarded Best Athlete (Senior Girl). Blue House was declared the Champion House of the year.
