BLOs verify voters in door-to-door campaign in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, July 22: In East Singhbhum district, the work of revision of special abbreviated voter list has started from Friday. Apart from the voters who have completed 18 years of age, the names of the left out people will be added to the voter list. Under this campaign, which will run till August 21, BLOs will do the work of verification of voters by going door to door. During this campaign, the names of 1.7 lakh new voters of the district will be added to the voter list. As soon as the campaign starts, the BLOs of their booth area are going door-to-door to verify the voters. For this Form 6 has to be filled through BLO. Whereas for deletion of name, Form 7 and Form 6A can be added for NRI voter. For any kind of amendment, you can apply in Form 8. Voters themselves can apply online through the Voter Helpline app. This app can be downloaded from Google Play Store or you can also submit application on Election Commission’s website voters.eci.gov.in. Under Voter’s List Special Brief Revision-2024, works related to name addition, deletion, correcting errors in name and address etc., photo updating etc. are being done in voter list. Prospective voters who have completed 18 years on 01 January 2024, or persons who have completed 18 years of age or 18 years on 01 January, 01 April, 01 July, 01 October
