Jamshedpur, March 7: The block closure at Tata Motors’ Jamshedpur plant on Saturday, March 9 will result in a two-day factory closure with arch 10 being Sunday, a regular holiday. This would lead to a closure of the plant for two days. With Saturday already scheduled for closure, Sunday will serve as the weekly holiday, extending the shutdown period. Operations are expected to resume on Monday following the closure. This marks the second block closure in March, following four similar closures in February. The continuous closures are causing significant financial strain on employees, who receive half their salary during these periods. Additionally, industrial units in the Adityapur industrial area are experiencing substantial losses due to decreased work orders from Tata Motors and its ancillary companies.
