Banna Gupta announces special corridor at Jamshedpur’s Domuhani Ghat

Jamshedpur, March 7: In a bid to enhance the spiritual and tourist appeal of Jamshedpur, Minister Banna Gupta announced plans for a special corridor along the Rivers’ Meet at Sonari.

As part of this initiative, a grand Maha Aarti ceremony will be performed on the banks of the Swarnarekha River at Marine Drive on Friday, March 8, at 5 pm.

The event will include a spectacular display of fireworks and a laser show. The annual ritual aims to purify the river banks as symbols of faith and purity.

Noteworthy additions to this year’s ceremony will include the construction of concrete stairs for easier access to Domuhani Ghat and the creation of a temporary audience gallery to accommodate guests. Among the highlights will be a towering 28-foot tall idol of Lord Shiva. Swarnarekha Aarti will be performed by 21 priests from Banaras. Attractive electrical light decorations portraying various forms of Lord Shiva have also been arranged.

Expressing his commitment to river conservation, Minister Banna Gupta emphasized the importance of spiritual and religious connection to the Swarnarekha River, urging residents of Jamshedpur to participate in the event. He said that he envisioned transforming the Swarnarekha Domuhani Ghat into a world-class tourist destination, garnering acclaim both nationally and internationally.

With preparations for the Maha Aarti in the final stages, Minister Gupta anticipated the presence of thousands of devotees at the event and called upon the citizens of Jamshedpur to join in and ensure its success.
