Jamshedpur, May 25: Members of the Jamshedpur Women’s University Teachers’ Association staged a protest in the university campus on Thursday against the reduction of summer vacations by the Raj Bhavan Secretariat and fixing the vacations from June 1 to 20.

Along with this, the office bearers of the teachers union handed over the memorandum to the registrar of the university. It has been said by the Sangh that in the iron city of Jamshedpur, the heat is at its peak in the month of May, while the onset of monsoon is in the second week of June.

The university being open in the month of May is not beneficial for the students and teachers in any way. Many types of academic research work is done by the teachers during these holidays. Showing solidarity with all the universities of Jharkhand, the teachers of Jamshedpur Women’s University have decided to lodge a protest by wearing black badges from today itself.
