BJP’s Geeta Koda loses Jagannathpur seat, JMM’s Niral Purty scores hat-trick from Majhgaon

Jamshedpur: Former Chief Minister Madhu Koda’s wife, Geeta Koda, has lost the Jagannathpur seat in West Singhbhum. She was defeated by Congress MLA Sonaram Sinku, although the official declaration is still awaited.

In Saraikela, JMM’s Champai Soren secured victory, while Niral Purty clinched the Majhgaon seat, marking his third consecutive win. He defeated BJP candidate Shashi Bhushan Samad.

JMM’s Sukhram Oraon has retained the Chakradharpur seat, establishing a strong lead. In Chaibasa, Minister Deepak Birua is on the verge of victory, leading BJP’s Geeta Balmuchu by over 37,000 votes, making his win a near certainty.

In Kharsawan, JMM’s Dasarath Gagrai is poised for victory, with BJP’s Sona Ram Bodra trailing significantly.
