Jamshedpur, June 23: Tensions within the Jamshedpur Mahanagar BJP flared up once again on Sunday as former media in-charge Monty Agarwal, recently expelled from the party, staged a dharna outside the BJP office. The protest coincided with the death anniversary of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, with Monty Agarwal prominently displaying Mukherjee’s photo during the demonstration.

The protest quickly escalated into a chaotic scene as party workers divided into two factions: one supporting Monty Agarwal and the other rallying behind District President Sudhanshu Ojha. Monty Agarwal defiantly challenged his expulsion, asserting his dedication to the party, while his supporters discussed seeking retribution in the upcoming assembly elections.
Throughout the incident, District President Sudhanshu Ojha avoided interactions with the media. However, BJP leader Kulwant Singh Bunty intervened promptly upon learning of the situation. He managed to defuse tensions and reconcile both factions, emphasizing the importance of resolving internal conflicts swiftly.
