Jamshedpur: Jamshedpur Mahanagar BJP leaders will extend full support to the agitation announced by Zila Parishad vice president Rajkumar Singh against the hike in admission fee from Rs 5000 to Rs 20,000 by Tata Main Hospital management. District BJP leader Dinesh Kumar will be leading party leaders during the sit-in programme planned to be held before the General Office gate on 14th October. Many party leaders from across the city would participate in the agitation.

In a statement issued here on Friday, Dinesh Kumar said the issue raised by Rajkumar Singh was a matter of public interest. He said Tata Main Hospital was the only major hospital of the city where a large number of people suffering from critical health conditions come with the hope of survival and recovery.

He said many poor and underprivileged patients came here from the adjoining districts for better treatment. He said charging Rs 20,000 as admission fee had put extra burden on the poor patients. He said the BJP could not step back from its commitment to public welfare. He said the sit-in programme would be peacefully conducted.
