Santhal, Kolhan in focus for 2024 elections
Jamshedpur, December 7: BJP has prepared a division wise strategy for the 2024 Lok Sabha and Assembly elections.
Programs have been decided according to the budget. In Jharkhand, BJP’s main focus is on tribal, Dalit, backward, youth and women voters. The party is trying to reach out to all these sections through its programmes.
All the big leaders of the party have been given the task to visit the divisions and meet the workers, have food at their homes and hold meetings to strengthen the organization.
BJP state president Babulal Marandi took out the Sankalp Yatra from August to October and visited all the 81 assembly seats of the state and visited the villages.
Now once again he is holding a tribal rights rally in Santhal. After this they will move towards Kolhan and South Chhotanagpur divisions. Apart from Babulal Marandi, party’s state in-charge Laxmikant Vajpayee, regional organization general secretary Nagendra Tripathi and organization general secretary Karmaveer Singh are staying in Palamu and North Chhotanagpur divisions. Legislature party leader Amar Bauri will also travel to all the divisions.
Babulal Marandi has first chosen Santhal Pargana, the JMM bastion.
In the last Lok Sabha elections, BJP had won two out of three seats here, but in the subsequent assembly elections, BJP could win only 4 out of 18 assembly seats.
Babulal Marandi is also focussing in Kolhan division, where BJP had swept 14 out of 14 assembly seats in the 2019 assembly elections.
BJP had to lose one of the two Lok Sabha seats.
Apart from Dalits and backward classes, there are a large number of Brahmin and Rajput voters in Palamu division. Their votes are decisive.
According to the caste equation, Amar Bauri, Laxmikant Vajpayee, Nagendra Tripathi and Karmaveer Singh will lead the front here.
