Jamshedpur: State BJP president and MP Laxman Gilua here on Tuesday said the municipal elections would see the BJP emerge as the leading party. He said the BJP was sure to register victory in the municipal elections on the strength of party workers.
He said the BJP was contesting the elections for the post of Mayor and Deputy Mayor at 35 places across the state. He said the party was working on a state-level strategy to ensure its victory. Election campaign and door-to-door mass contact programme is being run all over the state, he said.
Gilua blamed the lack of coordination among the elected members of Nagar Parishad for the slow development of the city. He said this time round, lack of funds will not be allowed to hinder development works.
