Jamshedpur: Members of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from Golmuri Mandal on Monday submitted a memorandum to the Golmuri police and traffic station in-charges, flagging serious concerns over the deteriorating law and order situation and worsening traffic management in the area.

Led by Mandal President Pappu Upadhyay, the BJP delegation alleged a sharp rise in incidents of theft, drug abuse, gambling, and the growing presence of anti-social elements, which they said has created a sense of insecurity among local residents.

The party also highlighted chronic traffic congestion at key junctions near Kerala Samajam School, St Joseph’s High School, and the Mirage Cinema area at Aakashdeep Plaza. According to the memorandum, illegal parking during peak hours has become a major cause of bottlenecks, affecting commuters, students, and emergency movement.

Demanding immediate administrative intervention, BJP leaders urged the police and traffic authorities to intensify patrolling, curb illegal activities and enforce stricter parking regulations. They warned that the party would be compelled to launch protests if effective corrective measures are not taken at the earliest.

Police officials received the memorandum and assured the delegation that necessary steps would be initiated to improve law and order and streamline traffic management in the Golmuri area.
