BJP to organize Abhaar Yatra to thank people

Ranchi: State BJP president and newly elected MP of Kodarma Ravindra Rai today said the party will be taking out a grand Abhaar Yatra all over the state to express gratitude to the people of the state for ensuring its victory on 12 out of 14 seats of the state in the Lok Sabha elections 2014.

The date of Abhaar Yatra will be fixed after the oath taking ceremony of Narendra Modi as the Prime Minister, he said.

Speaking to scribes at the party office on Sunday, Rai said the people of the state supported the BJP on all 14 seats, but the state government misused the administrative machinery to ensure its victory in Dumka and Rajmahal Parliamentary constituencies, he said.

The government misused the administrative machinery and also took help of foreign powers to win the seat. This led the BJP to win only 12 out of the 14 seats. Otherwise all the 14 seats would have been won by our party, said Rai.

The BJP president alleged that Chief Minister Hemant Soren had stayed in Dumka on the day of polling and counting to misuse the administrative powers. It is shameful for the head of a government to stay in a constituency on the day of polling and counting. The CM should have stayed out of the constituency as per the guidelines of the Election Commission, he said.

State BJP leaders have demanded a probe into the alleged misuse of power by the state government in Dumka and Rajmahal following the victory of JMM candidates, Sibu Soren and Vijay Kumar Hansda. They said the EC should take action against the people guilty of misusing power to influence voting and counting results.
