Jamshedpur: A delegation of district BJP leaders on Friday met East Singhbhum Deputy Commissioner Amit Kumar and handed him a petition demanding action against politicians spreading rumours regarding Ďanti-encroachment driveí of the district administration.
Leading the delegation, district BJP president Dinesh Kumar said the opposition leaders were trying to reap on the sentiments of the people after creating panic in their minds. Kumar said the opposition parties were spreading rumours that the administration was going to displace the residents of various bastis in the city. He said the opposition leaders were flying drones in certain areas to authenticate their story.
The BJP president accused JVM leader Abhay Singh of engaging in Ďdirty politicsí. He said the voters could not be fooled so easily. He said the JVMís demonstration before the Jamshedpur Collectorate had flopped.
Among those who met the DC included Gurdev Singh Raja, Pawan Agrawal, Rambabu Tiwary, Chandrashekhar Mishra, Nandjee Prasad, Mithilesh Singh Yadav, Sanjeev Singh, Khemlal Choudhary, Anil Modi, Bimal Jalan, Ankit Anand and Amarjeet Singh Raja.
