BJP leaders blame JVM of mudslinging, say ‘no place for Modi’ in city

Jamshedpur: Bharatiya Janata Party leaders of Jamshedpur Mahanagar committee today said there was no suitable in the city that could be chosen for organizing the public meeting of party’s Prime-ministerial candidate Narendra Modi. They said the programme is difficult to be organized as it was not possible to accommodate such a large number of supporters of Modi at a single place.

“There is no ground or other open place in the city that may be used for organizing Narendra Modi’s programme. This is because there are several lakh fans and supporters of Modi. This is why it is not possible that we choose any venue for this purpose within the city,” said Rajkumar Srivastava, president of Jamshedpur Mahanagar unit of BJP.

Srivastava, accompanied by former BJP president Vinod Singh and Chandrashekhar Mishra, alleged that Jharkhand Vikas Morcha leaders, especially Abhay Singh, had resorted to unethical criticism of their rival, the BJP, in sheer frustration.

“Apprehending the defeat of Dr Ajay Kumar and victory of BJP candidate Vidyut Varan in the election, Abhay Singh and other JVM leaders are disappointed much before the election. This has led them to make meaningless comments in the media. They have made it their business to create rumours since they have nothing better to do,” said the BJP president.

The BJP leaders termed Abhay Singh as the ‘second Kejriwal’ and accused him of trying to get limelight through anti-JVM statements. “Vidyut Varan Mahato is the son of the soil. Born of a farmer, he is a grassroot leader while Dr Ajay Kumar belongs to the corporate world. He is an agent of the corporate world,” said Srivastava.

Replying to allegations against BJP for giving ticket to Vidyut, an accused in the horsetrading case of Rajya Sabha elections, the BJP president said, “Vidyut Mahato was only made an accused in the horsetrading case. His name is not there in the chargesheet. Therefore he cannot be taken to be the culprit.

” Srivastava said the situation in Jamshedpur constituency had changed a great deal since the last MP election in Jamshedpur constituency some two and a half year back. Now the election is much bigger and is being held at national level. Therefore the thought of the people is much broader.

“Dr Ajay Kumar has done little for the people of this constituency as the MP of Jamshedpur. This is the reason why the people are going to vote for the BJP candidate this election,” said Mishra.

The BJP leaders said the country will get rid of inflation, unemployment and security problems in case BJP comes in power at the Centre.
