Jamshedpur, April 13: Sensing the discomfort to students due to the increasing temperature as East Singhbhum district reached 41 Celsius and with weather forecasting further increase in near future there is growing demand to change school timings.

BJP Jharkhand state spokesperson cum former Baharagora MLA Kunal Sarangi was requested by many parents to intervene while informing them about the problems on the phone. On which Kunal Sarangi while talking to the Chief Secretary of the state Sukhdev Singh on the phone urged to change the school timings.

The BJP leader said that even at 10 am in the morning, the scorching heat starts. Children of government schools have to walk home in the hot afternoon sun, which is adversely affecting their health. At the same time, at 12 noon, silence has started spreading on the road. In such a situation, there is a great need to change the school timings of the children.

The former MLA informed on Thursday, Divyanshu Kumari, a Class III student of Adarsh Middle School, Dhalbhumgarh in the district, started bleeding from the nose due to rising heat and temperature and fell ill.

The BJP leader urged the Chief Secretary to change the school timings in view of the rising heat. He said that it is also necessary to open schools for the children, but it is also necessary to take care of their health.

In such a situation, in view of the increasing heat, he requested to start the children’s school from 6.30 am to a maximum of 11 am. On which Chief Secretary Sukhdev Singh has assured to take proper cognizance in the matter.
