Jamshedpur, Feb 3: The Jugsalai Municipal Council elections have taken a new turn with BJP leader Bijay Kumar Singh, popularly known as Pappu Singh, seeing his wife, Nutan Singh, filing her nomination for the post of council president. Nutan Singh sought blessings from the local community before submitting her nomination at the Election Officer’s office.
Speaking to the media, Nutan Singh stated that she filed her nomination keeping in mind the sentiments of local citizens and the overall development of the area, aiming to avoid any confusion among voters and supporters. She emphasized that her decision aligns with party discipline, ideology and the broader interests of society.
Nutan Singh further said she fully respects the guidance and decisions of senior party leadership. She clarified that she has not yet received any formal instructions from the party and will proceed according to the directions once they are issued.
This development adds an interesting dimension to the ongoing Jugsalai Municipal Council elections, highlighting active political participation from family members of prominent local leaders.
