Mail News Service

Jamshedpur, Feb 10: Jamshedpur Mahanagar BJP president Dinesh Kumar Monday demanded a fair probe into the incident of assault on Rishant Ojha, a class VII student of Church School, Beldih. He said the school management had shown insensitivity and inhumanity after the incident. He also sought fair probe into the case registered against BJP leader Ankit Anand by the school management.

It is unfortunate that the school officials did not help or visit the injured student at the hospital. Instead, they threatened his family members and supporters. The child has sustained severe eye injury. Harsh measures should be taken against the errant school officials, said Kumar.

The BJP leader spoke to senior police officials regarding the case lodged against Ankit Anand. He said the police should go through the CCTV footage before arriving at any conclusion. He also demanded action against the school officials on the basis of online FIR registered against them.

School officials should have visited Rishant in hospital

District BJP spokesperson Ankit Anand and district AJSU spokesperson Appu Tiwary Monday continued to lambast the officials of Church School, Beldih, in connection with the assault on Rishant Ojha, a class VII student of the school. They said the school officials should have helped Rishant after he was assaulted by another student during dispersal time. They alleged that the school officials did not visit the hospital to see Rishant.

Rishant sustained serious eye injury after being beaten with belt by another student. Instead of taking action against him, the school officials have made it an ego issue. The school authorities should have shown sensitivity in this case, said Anand.

Satyagrah leader writes to NCPCR, NHRC

District BJP spokesperson Ankit Anand has written to National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) and National Human Rights Commission to seek action against the officials of Church School, Beldih, in Rishan Ojha case. He alleged that the school had violated various guidelines of Apex Court and NCPCR and that it had dealt recklessly with the incident of assault on Rishant by another student during dispersal time.

Will not tolerate partiality in police action: Kanhaiya Singh

District AJSU president Kanhaiya Singh and district joint secretary Kamlesh Dubey met the officer in-charge of Bistupur on Monday to demand impartial investigation in the case filed by party leader Appu Tiwary against the officials of Church School. They also sought action against school authorities for failing to perform their duty after the class VII student Rishant Ojha was injured.

The AJSU leader alleged that the school was in news for wrong reasons. He said the school should instead focus on academic and constructive activities. Due to the recklessness of school officials, Rishant Ojha sustained serious eye injury. The school had expelled students who had chanted Jai Shriram in school. This is unfortunate and it demands harsh and exemplary measures against the school, he said.
