Jamshedpur, September 15: Coinciding with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Jamshedpur, Jharkhand Health Minister Banna Gupta came out with posers vide a press release issued on Sunday. In it, he observed, “The Prime Minister enjoyed traveling on the newly constructed four-lane National Highway 33. His journey raised concerns about the state of the infrastructure and law and order in Jharkhand. Despite claims of lawlessness, the Prime Minister travelled 130 km on the road without security issues. This calls into question the BJP’s allegations about deteriorating law and order under Jharkhand’s current government.”

The Jharkhand Health Minister queried, “Has the Sarna Dharma Code been implemented for the tribal community? If the Prime Minister considers himself a well-wisher of the tribals, when will he make this announcement?”

Banna Gupta further asked that while the Prime Minister often referred to his backward caste background in election speeches then why no announcement had been made regarding 27% reservation for the backward classes.

Flinging another question in his press communiqué, Banna Gupta asked, “Will the BJP, in its attempt to unseat Jharkhand’s elected government, declare Champai Soren, who was allegedly insulted, as the NDA’s chief ministerial candidate?”

The Health Minister alleged that despite a Supreme Court order, the central government had withheld Jharkhand’s dues. He demanded that the Prime Minister should clarify if he had directed the release of the state’s Rs 1.36 lakh crore in dues.

His release included that two years ago, the PM had inaugurated the four-lane project of NH-33 online. “While he travelled on the road today, did he notice that construction near the Chandil roundabout and a railway overbridge remains incomplete? These delays lead to frequent jams and road accidents. Will there be an investigation into this?”
