Jamshedpur, Nov 17: Senior advocate Sudhir Kumar Pappu accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah of using ED to topple the Jharkhand government. He alleged that these ploys had brought development work in the state to a standstill and the Jharkhand citizens have been left simmering.
Reacting to Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s being questioned by the ED, Pappu said, “The Modi government’s intent of toppling all non-BJP led governments by using government investigative agencies is a reflection of their foul intent. This is nothing but the murder of democracy. The anger of people across the nation will be felt after the Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat Assembly elections’ results surface.”
Senior advocate Sudhir Kumar Pappu averred that the political scenario in the country was such that the downfall of the BJP led central government was a certainty.”If the Prime Minister tries to topple the Hemant government in Jharkhand in an undemocratic manner, such moves are to be condemned not only by the people of Jharkhand but across India,” Sudhir Kumar Pappu observed. “The Modi government is undemocratically using the investigative agencies in non-BJP ruled states that include West Bengal and Jharkhand.”
