DC speaks to JUSCO officials, assures removal of static grills
Jamshedpur: District Bharatiya Janata Party leaders on Saturday demanded removal of grills used as divider from the Straight Mile Road near Sakchi Kabristan and installation of a sliding divider instead. A delegation of BJP minority cell leaders met East Singhbhum Deputy Commissioner Amit Kumar in this regard and requested him to fulfill the demand in the larger interest of the Muslim community.
Due to the presence of divider grills, visitors to the Kabristan are unable to cross the road from the other side. Those coming to attend funerals are compelled to take a U-turn from the roundabouts situated on either end of the road. People coming from Telco, Golmuri, Tinplate, Agrico, Bhalubasa and other adjoining areas are mostly bothered by the situation, said district BJP president Dinesh Kumar.
The DC spoke to JUSCO officials over phone and asked them to install sliding dividers near the Kabristan.
He said the problem will soon be sorted out.
The delegation members included Bhupendra Singh, Riyaz Sharif, Saeed Kalim, Mohammad Javed, Irshad Ahmad, Gulzar, Aleem, Munna Khan, Mohammad Karim, Ali Jaan and Mohammad Iqbal.
