Jamshedpur, August 3: A delegation of BJP Jugsalai Mandal led by unit president Hemendra Jain Hannu met the East Singhbhum Deputy Commissioner Suraj Kumar and urged him to ensure completion of the Jugsalai overbridge that had been due since a long time. The delegation included BJP District President Gunjan Yadav and District General Secretary Anil Modi. Gunjan Yadav told the Deputy Commissioner that in 2018, during the tenure of the then Chief Minister Raghubar Das and MP Bidyut Baran Mahto the foundation stone of the overbridge was laid but three years had elapsed since then and the over bridge was far from complete although it was announced during the foundation laying in 2018 that the construction work would be completed within a period of 18 months.
Gunjan urged the Deputy Commissioner to complete this work of public interest at the earliest. District General Secretary, Anil Modi, who was part of the delegation, said that the time of construction of this bridge was fixed for 18 months at the time of foundation stone laying. After that the design of the bridge has been changed twice and the budgeted cost of construction also increased. “Yet, it is disappointing that the bridge has not been completed on time. The construction of the bridge is the dream of the people of Jugsalai. You are requested to take personal interest and pave the way for its construction.”
Mandal President Hemendra Jain warned that if the construction and completion work of the railway overbridge in Jugsalai was further delayed BJP would be forced to agitate again. The Deputy Commissioner assured that he was taking appropriate steps to speed up the construction process of the overbridge.
Other members of the BJP Jugsalai Mandal delegation included Prakash Joshi, Nagendra Pandey, Sundar Gupta, Satyanarayan Agarwal Munna, Ganesh Rabidas, Pintu Saini, Vivek Singh and others.
