Jamshedpur, Feb 19: Bharatiya Jantantra Morcha (BJM) District President, Subodh Srivastava assured the Mango residents of taking up their plethora of persisting civic problems in the form of a protest against the Mango Municipal Corporation (MMC).
The BJM’s Mango Municipal Corporation Committee, in the course of a public relations campaign, visits Mango localities every Sunday to take note of persisting civic problems.
As part of the weekly public relations campaign, a BJM MMC Committee led by Convener Kulwinder Singh Pannu on Sunday visited Parmanand Colony, Aastha Space Town, Mango Zonal Office and other areas of Ulidih Ward No 15 took note of the problems persisting in the localty including garbage piles, jammed drains, damaged roads to name a few and ironically, right under the nose of Mango Zonal Office.
BJM District President Subodh Srivastava said, “Our visit to Ulidih localities exposed the MMC’s lethargic attitude towards the Mango residents’ civic problems. The Corporation’s accountability for the prevailing ills is missing. BJM will soon protest for the rights of the people of Mango and by handing over a memorandum to the Mango Municipal Corporation including an ultimatum for a comprehensive improvement in the system. We will protest en masse at the MMC office.” Akash Shah of the BJM MMC committee, Prem Saxena, President of Ulidih Mandal, Kanhaiya Ojha, Ravindra Singh and others were part of the team that visited Ulidih.
